These computer system laboratories will serve to minimize spaces in access to gadgets and the Internet by providing public computer gain access to for individuals with specials needs, Marylanders without irreversible home (i.e. unhoused), veterans, and our incarcerated & returning residents. The program offers grants of as much as $65,000 for as much as 100% for the creation, upgrade, and/or retrofit of computer system labs/centers throughout Maryland.

The funding source for the program is the American Rescue Strategy Act of 2021 and all federal rules needed of the financing use to the program. The Maryland Office of Statewide Broadband is making up to roughly $11.8 million available through Link Maryland's Network Infrastructure Grant Program Round 2.

Financing will support tasks that enhance broadband transportation capacity, interconnection, resiliency, redundancy, and long-term network scalability. These jobs are planned to reinforce the performance, dependability, and sustainability of broadband networks serving citizens, organizations, and public-interest uses throughout Maryland.
